For just the second time this season, the Arizona Diamondbacks have been shut out on offense. Three hits were all Arizona could scratch away with in their 4-0 loss to the Mariners on Sunday.
With Merrill Kelly on the mound for the D-backs, Seattle jumped out to an early lead, which is something that they did in every game this series.
The Mariners were able to capitalize right away on Kelly’s mistake, as a leadoff walk came back to bite.
